Peer counsellors will be available every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2pm to 5pm. The peer counsellors are there to discuss any issues related to student life and wellbeing. They offer peer support and a shoulder to lean on, and they can assist you in finding further support if necessary. All discussions with peer counsellors are confidential, free of charge and voluntary. You can call them directly when they are on call or leave a callback request at any time during the week, and they will call you back during their on-call hours.
The phone number for the peer counsellors is 029 445 8580 and the service itself will commence on Wednesday September 1st at 2pm.
This service is a continuation of the work done by Well-being Coordinators earlier this year. The Well-being Coordinators will now work as peer counsellors for the autumn semester. During the autumn, the service will be developed and enhanced for the following year. The service is supported by the Bridges project, funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture.
