At the University of Eastern Finland, you can freely choose your minor subject from a wide range of subjects without a separate application. However, some fields have restrictions on minor subject rights, and in some degrees the minor subjects are predetermined or not included in the degree structure at all.
Restricted minor subjects
Not all minor subjects are freely available. Minor subject rights are restricted in the following fields: languages, medicine, nursing science, nutrition, pharmacy, psychology, social work and teacher education (including pedagogical studies for teachers).
Restrictions may be due to an aptitude test, a level test or other justified reasons. In some fields, minor subject studies are not available at all – for example, in medicine.
