The University of Eastern Finland uses an electronic plagiarism detection tool called Turnitin. Your teacher can add Turnitin onto a Moodle course.
Instructions for students
- Turnitin is integrated with the eLearn Moodle online learning environment.
- Turnitin instructions are available on eLearn Moodle (log in with UEF account). Course key: turnitin.
Test your work independently
You can check your thesis or other written work through Turnitin before your final submission. The test course is called Opiskelijan Turnitin / Student Turnitin on eLearn Moodle.
- Search for the course using the Search courses field on the Moodle Site home page. Note: the course cannot be found via the magnifying glass in the top bar.
- You can also search for the course directly using this eLearn Moodle search (log in with UEF user account).
Submit your final work
Submit your completed work to the Turnitin assignment added by your teacher or supervisor on Moodle. For more information, contact your teacher or supervisor.
Use Draft Coach during the writing phase
You can enable Draft Coach, which works on Word Online (M365). Draft Coach checks the originality of your text and your citations. If you are writing in English, you can also use the English language proofing tool. If you need support, contact [email protected].
