PrintThe university can address inappropriate behaviour through a series of escalating measures:
- Removal from teaching – the teacher may require a student to leave.
- Denial of access to teaching – a student’s participation in teaching may be denied for up to three working days if their behaviour endangers the safety of others or causes unreasonable disruption to teaching.
- Written warning – the rector may issue a written warning.
- Fixed-term suspension – in serious or repeated cases, the UEF Board may suspend a student for up to one year.
You can appeal a decision on a written warning or fixed-term suspension by submitting an appeal to the Eastern Finland Administrative Court.
