The campuses have assistive equipment and accessible workspaces to support your studies. Some equipment is available directly on campus, while other equipment can be obtained through Kela (Social Insurance Institution of Finland) or healthcare services.
Check your equipment needs in advance
Look into your assistive equipment needs well before your studies begin, so that the equipment and services you need are ready when you start.
Where can you get assistive equipment?
- Kela is responsible for assistive equipment for students with severe disabilities, as well as guidance on how to use the equipment.
- Wellbeing service counties are responsible for medical assistive equipment, such as mobility and communication aids.
Celia Library – accessible learning materials
If you have a reading difficulty, visual impairment or another barrier that makes it difficult to read printed text, you can use the services of the Celia Library. From Celia, you can get learning materials in accessible formats, such as audiobooks or braille.
