Studies in Internationalisation (25-35 ECTS)
Last modified: 29.04.2026
PrintThe Studies in Internationalisation module is a free elective minor available to all UEF students. You can use this module to compile studies related to internationalisation – for example, exchange studies, international traineeships, or language studies. The module is especially useful if the studies you completed during your exchange do not fit directly into your major or other minor subject modules.
Peppi code for the module: X1131020B.
Modules within the study module
You can include studies into five modules:
- Internationalisation at home – for example, internationalisation-related studies completed at your home university
- International traineeship – a traineeship period completed abroad
- Studies abroad – courses completed as exchange studies or otherwise at a foreign university
- Cultural diversity and Multiculturalism – studies related to intercultural skills and multiculturalism
- Language studies – language courses
How are studies included in the module?
Studies can be attached to the module once they have been credited and recorded in your study register. Credit transfer decisions are always made by your own major or minor subject department – for language studies, by the Language Centre.
Important: The Studies in Internationalisation module does not process credit transfer applications and does not make credit transfer decisions. Make sure to complete the credit transfer process first, and then request the closing of the study module.
For more information about credit transfer:
Credit transfer of exchange studies
Studies completed during your exchange will be included in your degree after the exchange. Credit transfer is not an automatic process – you must apply for it yourself. Follow the general recognition of prior learning instructions and contact your departmental coordinator for advice if needed. For more information, see Including exchange studies into your degree.
Closing the module and further information
