In a career counselling session, you can discuss your questions confidentially with a career counsellor – whether they concern future plans, study choices or job seeking. The conversation always starts from your own needs.
You can book a career counselling appointment at any stage of your studies and up to one year after graduation.
What can you discuss in career guidance?
For example, you can explore:
- choosing your field of study and minor subjects
- your strengths and interests
- finding a traineeship
- life after graduation and employment
- balancing your studies with the rest of your life
- any other questions about your future.

How to book a career counselling appointment
1. Complete a career skills self-assessment
Before booking, we recommend that you complete the career skills self-assessment at Kudin.fi . The self-assessment helps you identify and develop your career readiness and gives the career counsellor valuable information about your support needs. Send your self-assessment results to the career counsellor when you book your appointment.
2. Book an appointment on JobTeaser
You can find available career counselling appointments on JobTeaser. Log in with your UEF user account and create a profile using your name. Select at least one field of study for your profile.
Go to the UEF Career Services Resources box: Appointments and select:
- type of appointment
- location (on campus or online)
- time that suits you.
There are three types of appointments
- Career counselling (60 min) – for discussing topics such as how your studies are going, future opportunities, choosing your field or minor subjects, decision-making or the career options your degree offers.
- Coaching (60 min) – individual support related to managing neuropsychiatric challenges in your studies, motivation or career planning – or a combination of these.
- Job seeking advice (30 min) – for shorter matters such as feedback on your job application documents or general job seeking advice.
If an appointment type is missing, it is because, at the moment, there are no free availabilities for the type of appointment.
3. You will receive a confirmation by email
After booking, you will receive a confirmation by email. If you booked an online appointment, the career counsellor will send you a Teams meeting link.
