JobTeaser is a job seeking platform where you can find jobs and traineeships in Finland and across Europe. The platform is used by over 800 higher education institutions in Europe.

Log in to UEF’s own JobTeaser interface at uef.jobteaser.com/en with your UEF user account. You can continue using the platform also after graduation.

How to create your profile when you log in for the first time

  1. Log in with your UEF user account at uef.jobteaser.com/en .
  2. Select your field of study. If you are studying in more than one field, choose the most relevant one. Your selection does not affect which jobs you see, but it may be used to suggest other content to you.
  3. Select the types of jobs you are interested in. Your selections affect which positions appear on your home page. You can change your selections later and browse all open positions if you wish.

How to continue using JobTeaser after graduation

When you are about to graduate and your UEF user account is being deactivated, make sure to change your email address in time:

  1. Open Account settings and replace your uef.fi address with the email address you will be using in the future.
  2. Close the JobTeaser window. Clear your browser cache, or open an incognito window, or use a different browser.
  3. Go to uef.jobteaser.com/en again.
  4. Request a new password using the Forgot your password function – the password will be sent to your new email address.
  5. Log in with your new email address and password.

If you have already graduated and can no longer change your email address in UEF’s system, contact Career Services: [email protected].

Frequently asked questions

I cannot log in with my UEF user account – what should I do? HAKA authentication does not work if your password contains Nordic characters (ä, ö, å). Change your password in the UEF system and try again.

I cannot see positions from Finnish organisations or organisations requiring academic expertise.  Check that you have selected at least one field of study in your profile settings.

On the Jobs tab, under University of Eastern Finland job listings, select Targeted jobs. Alternatively, on the same tab under Other filters, scroll to University of Eastern Finland filters and select Targeted jobs. This filter shows only jobs that have been targeted at Finnish university students and recent graduates through the shared multiposting form used by Finnish universities.

I cannot see all traineeships, even when I filter by internship/traineeship.  Employers may also list internships under the categories fixed-term work, full-time work or summer job. Select these options as well under job type.

My search does not return jobs matching my field of study.  On JobTeaser, employers do not target their listings by field of study. Instead, they use the job function menu. Select several job functions rather than just one – you can always adjust your search criteria later. The industry filter refers to the recruiting organisation’s main industry, not the individual position. For example, jobs in business or HR can be found across many different industries. If industry does not matter to you, leave this filter unselected, as it will narrow your results.

A different university’s JobTeaser shows different jobs than UEF’s.  Each university has its own JobTeaser interface, and some employers target their listings only at institutions in a specific region.

I cannot find jobs in my region when I enter the region name in the search field.  JobTeaser does not recognise Finnish regions. Enter either “Finland” and select  Suomi from the dropdown menu, or search by the name of a specific city or municipality.
