The Finnish Supervisory Agency (opens in a new tap) can grant you the right to practise a social welfare or health care profession as a licensed professional. Licensing applies to Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy, Masters of Science in Pharmacy, psychologists, dentists, physicians, nutritional therapists, social workers and speech therapists.
You apply for licensing through the online services of the Finnish Supervisory Agency (opens in a new tap) after completing your degree. You do not need to attach a separate degree certificate, as the service retrieves your degree information from the national VIRTA data warehouse for higher education. You can check your own information in the KOSKI information resource service by logging in to My Studyinfo.
Note: Degree information for social workers has been available electronically since 2014.
