When planning your exchange, it is worth exploring the experiences of previous exchange students. Through their feedback, you can get practical information about host universities, everyday life during exchange, and life in the host country – and perhaps also inspiration for planning your own exchange!
Student feedback in SoleMOVE
You can read feedback from previous exchange students in the SoleMOVE application system. You do not need to log in to search for feedback.
How to find feedback:
- Open SoleMOVE (new tab) and select University of Eastern Finland from the drop-down menu on the front page.
- Select Destination search from under the picture on the login page.
- Search for host universities you are interested in, for example by country.
- Click the name of a university to open its profile. If feedback is available, the profile will have the text “Feedback available” below the university’s name.
Tip: If you want to find feedback for universities in a specific exchange programme (e.g. YUFE Alliance), click Advanced Search and select the exchange programme you are interested in under Exchange Programme.
SoleMOVE also shows a lot of host universities where UEF no longer has a valid agreement. Remember to cross-Check the results from SoleMOVE to the updated host lists in Kamu!
Good to know: Feedback may not be available for all host universities, as student feedback is only published with the student’s permission. Most of the feedback may be in Finnish.
