Coffee & Friends UEF is a relaxed get-together where you can meet other students over coffee and a snack. All University of Eastern Finland students are welcome – including exchange students, degree students and doctoral students. You can come on your own or bring a friend.
Each Coffee & Friends session includes optional, laid-back activities. You are free to stay for as long as you like – whether you pop in for a quick coffee or spend the whole time chatting and getting to know other students. It is a great way to find company and feel part of the campus community.
When and where is Coffee & Friends held?
Coffee & Friends takes place weekly on both campuses:
- Kuopio: Tuesdays, 3–5 pm at Lukema (starting 27 January)
- Joensuu: Tuesdays, 4–6 pm at Agora Café (starting 27 January)
Participation is free of charge and no registration is needed.
You can find the programme on the ISYY (Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland).
Who will you meet at Coffee & Friends?
Coffee & Friends is run by peer tutors, with support from campus chaplains, the Student Union Community Coordinator, and UEF’s study psychologists and academic affairs specialist. At Coffee & Friends, you will meet both fellow students and wellbeing professionals in a safe and welcoming environment.
