PrintAfter the public examination, the opponent submits a statement on your dissertation, and you have the opportunity to submit a response to it. The faculty then decides on the approval and grade of your dissertation. After this, the Faculty Council or, between semesters, the Vice Dean (Research) will grade your dissertation. The Faculty shall provide a digital degree certificate for your completed degree.
Applying for your degree
Once your dissertation and all other studies required for the degree have been registered in the study attainment register, you can apply for your doctoral degree. Complete the Application for a Doctoral Degree Certificate form.
The delivery time for the certificate is approximately three weeks from the date the final attainment is recorded in the study register. Please note that during holiday periods and busy times – such as the end of the calendar year or academic year – the delivery time may be longer than usual.
Validity of user accounts
After graduation, your UEF user account and the associated access rights will expire. More information on the expiry of access rights can be found on the the digital services page page under “I have or have had a UEF user account”.
