Other study modules and short-term training
In addition to studies in discipline and research field provided by Doctoral Programmes and transferable skills studies provided by the Doctoral School, you can take other courses and studies that are useful in the context of your research and career.
Student and Learning Services organise a 10 ECTS study module in university pedagogy (access to further information requires UEF login). In addition, self-study materials produced in the UNIPS project can be used independently to develop university pedagogical competence.
Courses in statistics are offered in basic and subject studies. You can also select individual courses useful for your research, e.g. courses about using statistical software R or SPSS. Some of the courses can be taken online at your own pace.

In addition, two courses in Chinese are offered with English as the language of tuition.
Library offers training for example on data management, visibility and impact of your research, open data, and publishing of a dissertation. You can find the course platter as well as more information about the courses on the public webpages.
IT-services provides training on diverse topics e.g. software usage and file management skills, digital working environment, and information security. Trainings will be delivered with Teams. You can also participate in online training via Wistec online e-learning service wherever and whenever you are. eLearning Support Services (Oppitupa) provide and use support and pedagogical training on in the use of ICT and social media.
The trainings provided by IT-Serivces and eLearning Support Services can be found in staff training calendar (requires UEF login). Members of staff are prioritized in the trainings but if there is room, also grant researchers are welcome to join.
