Personal access badge
Students can apply for a personal access badge using this form (requires UEF login). For UEF staff members, the person responsible for keys and access badges in the unit fills in an electronic form “Application for key and access rights” in UEF e-Services. If you already have an access badge, you can request access rights to be added to another space (eg electronic exam) for the same access badge. You will be notified by email when the access badge is available for pick up from key services or the rights to an existing access badge have been updated.
The access badge is personal, and you may not give it to another person. Remember that when using the personal access badge, you may not use it to open doors for other persons, nor let other persons inside with it.

Wireless networks
University of Eastern Finland campuses offer Eduroam and UEF-open wireless networks. UEF-open is available for visitors and can be accessed without login. Eduroam requires a login with username@uef.fi.

Campus restaurants and lunch menus
Doctoral researchers are entitled to have lunch at staff prices at the campus restaurants. To get the discount, the person must present a researchers’ lunch card signed by the department head, which can be obtained from the department. Note! In Joensuu, the Amica restaurant located in the Carelia building offers prices to doctoral students that are lower than the staff prices. To get the doctoral student prices, the person must present their doctoral student study certificate or student card.
