This page is for you if you are completing non-degree studies at the University of Eastern Finland. You are then a non-degree student.
As a non-degree student, you cannot become a member of the Student Union, which means you are not entitled to student benefits. However, the Student Union may allow non-degree students from certain groups to join. Check the exceptions on the Student Union membership fees.
When you receive your study right
Your study right will be recorded in the student register based on the faculty’s decision. You do not need to do anything separately for this.
When you receive the decision on your study right, you will also receive instructions on how to register. If you already provided your information during the application stage, you may not need to register separately.
If you need to register, fill in the registration form (opens in a new tab). The form will be send to the Student and Learning Services’ Customer Service (contact details at the bottom of this page).
UEF account
You need a UEF account to log in to student register Peppi, your email and the university’s other online services.
If you have previously studied at the University of Eastern Finland, you continue using the same account. If you do not yet have an account, activate it on the university’s website using your Finnish online banking codes.
If you do not have Finnish online banking codes, contact the IT servicedesk.
See instructions for activating your UEF account (opens in a new tab).
Registration in future academic years
As a non-degree student, you do not need to register at the university each academic year. The annual registration requirement applies only to degree students (Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral students). Your registration is recorded on your behalf for your entire study period.
