Electronic plagiarism detection tool
University of Eastern Finland is using an electronic plagiarism system, Turnitin. It can be accessed only through Moodle.
Instructions for students
- The system has been integrated with the online learning environment Moodle. Students can test their theses or other written work independently by submitting them to the Moodle. Find it by name Opiskelijan Turnitin / Student Turnitin. Search for this course via the “Search courses” search box on the Site home page (Note: The course cannot be found via the magnifying glass in the top bar.) You can also search Student Turnitin course directly from this (eLearn Moodle’s) search (opens in a new tab, requires login).
- The final work should be returned to the Turnitin assignment added by the teacher or instructor in Moodle. For more information, contact your teacher or instructor.
- Would you like help with your work already in the writing phase? You can enable Draft Coach that works in Word Online (M365). Draft Coach checks the originality of the texts and the citations in the text. In addition, you can use the English language maintenance tool if you write text in English.
