Wellbeing Week will be held for the twelfth time at the University of Eastern Finland from 29 September to 3 October 2025. The aim of the Wellbeing Week is to offer UEF students and staff a wellbeing promoting programme throughout the week.
During Wellbeing Week, a variety of activities will be organised to provide tools to increase one’s own wellbeing. In addition to both campuses, there is also some program which will be held online. Please note that some of the week’s activities require pre-registration and have an entrance fee.

Highlights of the Wellbeing Week’s programme
- Finnish Kennel Club’s Care Dogs will be on the campuses in Joensuu at the Alkukivet statue and in Kuopio in front of Lukema/Studentia on Monday, 29 September, from 11:00 to 13:00.
- Coffee & Friends event offers low-threshold hanging out after lectures and the opportunity to meet other students over coffee and a snack. Events in both campuses on Tuesday, 30 September.
- Sports Afternoon for students and staff in both campuses on Wednesday, 1 October from 12:15. More information about Sports Afternoon’s events on SYKETTÄ website.
- Online lecture in English for students and staff: Finnish Student Health Service FSHS’s lecture “Students’ Well-being – Small Steps, Big Impact” on Thursday, 2 October, from 14:15–15:00.
- Online lecture in English for students and staff: Polar Night “Kaamos survival” on Thursday, 2 October, from 15:15–16:00.
- Day trip to the National Park of Patvinsuo for students and staff from Joensuu campus on Friday, 3 October.
- Day trip to Tahko & Tahko Nature Festival for students and staff from Kuopio campus on Friday, 3 October.
