The YUFE Introduction Offer will offer students the possibility to take a maximum of two online YUFE academic courses (at another university) and/or one online YUFE activity (at another university) in the first semester of the 2020/2021 Academic Year. Moreover, students are also free to participate in the YUFE Academy 2020 and YUFE induction courses. You can earn academic credit while expanding your perspective and study remotely at the University of Bremen, Maastricht, or Essex, for example. These individual courses from other European universities can often be included in your degree (e.g. free electives). If you would like for a YUFE course to become an intracurricular part of your degree, please check with your own discipline.
To join YUFE, you must be a 2nd year bachelor’s degree student or above in the upcoming academic year 2020/2021. Since the YUFE academic courses are offered in English, a B2 English level is also required. Courses and activities are available for bachelor’s and master’s degree students as well as post graduate students. YUFE will have a maximum of 100 seats available for the YUFE Introduction Offer. Please note that we will apply a first-come-first-serve policy with a maximum of 10 students per university. The YUFE introduction offer is free of charge to students.
The YUFE Introduction Offer is only available for Semester 1 of the Academic Year 2020/2021. The first YUFE semester takes place from 1 September 2020 to 1 March 2021. This means that you have until 1 March 2021 to participate and complete the course/activity of your choice. For the YUFE Introduction Offer, you can pick a maximum of 2 online academic courses in English and/or 1 activity (listed in the YUFE Introduction Offer course catalogue). For the time being, all activities offered are language courses. Please note that you cannot choose language training or an online academic course offered by the YUFE university you are currently enrolled in. The studies will be completed in each university’s own learning environment. The university in which you completed your course will grant you a certificate after you have finished the course.
This sneak peek into the YUFE Student Journey can be a stand-alone activity or it can serve as a stepping-stone to the complete YUFE Diploma Supplement Track, which will be launched later in the upcoming academic year.
