Digistartti (academic year 2025-2026)

Digistartti helps you get started with the digital study environments used at UEF. We recommend completing Digistart to all new international students.

When to complete Digistartti?

• Digistartti opens on 1 August.
• Complete the assignments at the beginning of your studies, preferably within the first two weeks.
• Digistartti is available on UEF Moodle.
• We recommend using a computer.
• Digistartti is a compulsory part of the course Orientation for International Students (opens in a new tab).

Accessing Digistartti

You can complete Digistartti only after logging in with your UEF user account.

When logging in

1. Select UEF Login
2. Enter [email protected]i
3. Enter your UEF password

Your UEF user account will work only after

• You are registered as a present student at UEF.
• You have activate your UEF user account. (Activation is possible after receiving the activation email.) .
• Your study right is valid (for the degree seeking students usually from 1 August and for most exchange students 1 September).
• You have completed Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) during your first login.
• You have been strongly identified by the IT Services (passport checked at the Helpdesk or via Candour ID)

Your UEF account will be fully functional approximately 4 hours after activation.

Technical Problems?

If you cannot log in to Digistartti, check

• Your username includes @uef.fi and the password.
• You are registered as present.
• Your study right is valid.
• At least four hours have passed since activation.
• Strong identification has been completed.

If you receive a password error, change your password according to the instructions. Make sure you are not logged in with another organization’s Microsoft 365 account (use a private browser window if needed).
