The University of Eastern Finland moves to online teaching, except for the necessary contact teaching, until 16 January 2022 due to the coronavirus situation. Recommendation for remote work will also come into force until 16 January 2022.

University follows national guidelines, recommendations issued by the regional coronavirus working group, and orders given by the State Regional Administrative Agency.

Procedures for changes in teaching will be instructed within the faculties. Campus facilities will be open. Also, the library will be available according to opening hours.

The University of Eastern Finland reminds all the campus visitors about the basic instructions on safety and hygiene, which can be found on the university’s website. The use of masks is required in in-person teaching.

The university will specify the guidelines according to the Finnish Government’s decisions and other official decisions.

Current and and up-to-date information will be published on the university’s coronavirus situation website and on the students’ Kamu website. Course-specific information can be found in the Peppi web service.
