STUDENT! Read this information first:
Host universities and level of study
The number at the end of the host university’s name refers to the level of study (degree level) for which there are placements, i.e., which students may apply. 1 = Bachelor, 2 = Master, 3 = Doctoral. This may impact what courses the host university offers.
Students should apply to the host university listed under their major subject’s department as a priority. Students may apply to the host university listed under their minor subject’s department secondarily: each department’s major students are prioritised for all host universities.
Employment contracts at UEF
The student cannot have a valid employment contract at any point during the exchange period. Students may apply for exchange during a valid contract, but the contract must end well before the exchange period begins. Students with any kind of employment contract at UEF cannot receive student mobility grants during a valid contract period. No exceptions are made.
Language proficiency requirements
If the host university requires proficiency in a certain language at a certain level (e.g., B1 or B2 in French), the student must fulfil this requirement to be eligible to apply. It is the student’s responsibility to check that the host university offers exchange students courses that are taught in a language the student is proficient in – even if the host does not have a specific requirement listed.
Subject-specific exceptions
The following areas of study at the Faculty of Science, Forestry and Technology have special considerations regarding selecting host universities:
- Sustainable technologies: students may apply for host universities listed under Chemistry, Forestry and Computer sciences.
It is always the student’s responsibility to familiarize themselves with the study offerings for exchange students at the host university.
