Erasmus+ funding is primarily used for traineeships in Europe. Erasmus+ traineeship grant is applied from International Mobility Services. If you have any questions related to Erasmus+ traineeship, please contact international@uef.fi.
Countries participating to Erasmus programme are EU Member States (not Finland) as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Northern Macedonia, Norway, Serbia and Turkey. United Kingdom is part of the Erasmus programme until 31th May 2023.
Erasmus+ traineeships can take place in companies as well as private and public organisations. The minimum duration for Erasmus+ traineeship is 2 months and the traineeship position must be full-time (min 30 hours per week). The traineeship need to be included in the student’s degree at University of Eastern Finland and student’s department must approve the traineeship, therefore students need to discuss with their department on the contents of the traineeship before applying for Erasmus+ grant.
Erasmus+ traineeship grant cannot be paid for:
- traineeships within European Union organizations listed on the following website: Work for the EU
- traineeships in organizations managing EU programs (e.g. national agencies such as the Finnish National Agency for Education)
- Erasmus funding or international traineeship support is not granted to students who receive other financial support from the UEF at the same time, or, for example, traineeship funging granted by the Finnish National Agency for Education (formerly CIMO).
Traineeships outside Erasmus programme are funded with university’s international internship funding the that is applied from student’s own Faculty.
