Major Service Interruption in Peppi 11th-13th March 2025

Due to the installation of Peppi version 5.2, there will be a service interruption from 11th to 13th March 2025. To anticipate the service interruption, do these on 10th March at the latest, if needed:

  • Complete your registration for the course units and exams on Peppi, on Tuudo or on EXAM.
  • Check and save teaching timetables and links for remote lectures (e.g. teams, zoom). Teaching timetables can be seen on Tuudo during the service interruption.
  • Download your transcript of records or study certificate on Peppi.

During the service interruption 11th-13th March, the following functions will unfortunately be unavailable:

  • Loging into Peppi (students and staff)
  • Creating new study rights or changing existing study rights or changing term registration. These can affect the function of UEF user account.
  • Completing registrations for course unit, group or exam on Peppi or on Tuudo
  • Saving new study attainments and RPL on Peppi, including exams done on EXAM system.
  • Planning studies and checking study attainments on personal study plan of Peppi
  • Receiving transcript of records, study certificate or degree certificate etc. in electric form, pdf or in paper.
  • Room reservations for teaching (or for other use) and changes of teaching timetables
  • Unavailable plug-in services during the maintenance break: Study Guide, Atomi, Lukkarikone Schedule Assistant, Tuudo Room Reservations, Course Feedback OJP

Partially available services:

  • Tuudo
    • Most functions are working normally, such as teaching schedule information/timetable for the next two weeks. Library card and student card will work.
    • During the interruption, course search, new registrations for course units or exams, new library card applications, and room reservations will not work.
  • EXAM
    • Exams can be taken if the registration is completed before the service interruption.
    • New registrations for exams can’t be done.
    • Exam study attainments will not transfer to Peppi during the interruption.
  • Moodle
    • Most functions are working normally.
    • New registrations for course units using the Peppi–Moodle integration will not transfer to Moodle during the interruption.
  • Applying for Open University courses
    • Registration for Open University courses doesn’t work 11th March, but will work after it. The study rights will be created only after the interruption. (EDITED 4th March)

The new version of Peppi improves technical functionality and includes new developments related to cross-institutional studies and the Opin.fi service, as well as bug fixes.

If possible, the service interruption may end slightly earlier. However, short interruptions may still occur after 13th March to ensure the functionality of parts of the Peppi system.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the service interruption! Please, let us know, if you notice something unfunctional on Peppi or on plug-in services after the service interruption. We will answer as soon as possible.

Please send your questions and feedback to peppituki@uef.fi.
