You cannot place requests on legal deposit material (JOE Vapaakappale) in UEF Primo.
You can order legal deposit material for reading room use within the library’s premises by filling in the Deposit copy request form.

Dear remote access user, register as a library customer online
Due to library system change, remote access to e-resources via UEF Primo with UEF username and password requires registration as a library customer. To register as a customer, fill out the form. Registration doesn’t require picking up the library card – the card is required only for borrowing print materials. If you already have a library card, you don’t need to register again.

Online payment is not possible for the time being
Due to library system change online payment is not possible for the time being. We plan to put online payment in UEF Primo to use in early 2020.
Maintenance break in Ebook Central on Saturday, 21 December
On Saturday, 21 December 2019, ProQuest will perform maintenance work on its Ebook Central platform. Maintenance break will start at 4:00am and end by 2:00pm. There will be no access to Ebook Central books during the break. We apologise for any inconvenience!

UEF PRIMO replaces the UEF FINNA as the library’s search service
The campus libraries will be closed during the system change from 21st December 2019 until 1st January 2020 and the KUH Medical Library from 20th December 2019 until 6th January 2020.
- E-materials can be accessed via UEF Finna until 31st December 2019.
- E-materials can be accessed via UEF Primo by 2nd January 2020 at the latest.
- Printed materials can be searched via UEF Finna until the end of the year, but their availability information is not up-to-date.
- During the transition, all loans have longer loan periods.
- Reserving Legal deposit copies in UEF Finna is closed for the remainder of the year.
- You cannot make requests of article copies of the National Repository Library’s journals. Interlibrary loan services are available.
- Online payments are not possible.

Reserving Legal deposit copies in UEF Finna is closed until the end of the year 2019
Due to the library system being replaced, the library suspends book acquisitions and the processing of books into collections until the end of the year. Due to this interruption making reservations on Legal deposit copies is closed from this point on. We will inform you about making reservations in UEF Primo later. Transfer your favourites & searches from UEF Finna
UEF Library is changing its library system at the turn of the year 2019-2020. If you want to keep your favourites and saved searches, you have to transfer them yourself as they will not automatically migrate to the new library system UEF Primo. Transfer your favourites either to your email or to Refworks.

Send your favourites to your own email
- Login to UEF-Finna
- Click Favourites
- If necessary, increase the number of results per page (default: 20/page)
- Tick Select Page
- Click Email
- Enter your email address and click Send

You can keep your saved searches only by copying + pasting them to e.g. a Word file, or by taking and saving them as screenshots.

The last day for making reservations is 11.12.2019.UEF students and staff members can no longer make independent requests of article copies of the National Repository Library’s journals. They will be made via the interlibrary services. UEF Library is changing its library system at the turn of the year 2019-2020. Personal UEF Finna accounts will cease on 16.12.2019.
All UEF Libraries will be closed during the transferring phase 21.12.2019-1.1.2020. For other exceptions in opening hours go to library’s webpage (opening in a new window).
