Upcoming exceptions to opening hours

On Friday 14 October 2022, the Student and Learning Services’ customer service desk in Kuopio closes already at 12 pm (12:00). The phone service as well as the customer service desk in Joensuu are open until 3 pm (15:00).

During week 42, the Student and Learning Services’ customer service is open as follows:

Current opening hours

The Student and Learning Services’ customer service desk is open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 am to 3 pm.

If you are unable to visit the customer service desk during these times, please contact us by email or phone, and we can set up a meeting for a different time.

Welcome to Kuopio’s “Coffee & Friends” evenings!

The idea is to offer students a place to come hang out after lectures, to enjoy refreshments and good company. You can come to the café on your own or bring someone with you. You are warmly welcome just as you are!

The café is held by master’s degree students in social and health sciences and UEF’s study psychologist trainee. The campus chaplain Raimo, study psychologist Katri and sports planner Sirpa participate in organising the café too.

The café is open on Tuesdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m at the Studentia chapel.

October:

November:

  • 1st November – Surviving the autumn darkness
  • 8th November – Board Games
  • 15th November – Balancing studies and leisure

Maintenance at the Joensuu campus library

Renovation of the stair landings and the carpets of the stairways will continue at Joensuu Campus
Library.

The work will start from the 3rd floor’s stair landing on week 41 (10.10.2022-), and the actual demolition work will start on week 42 (17.10.2022-). Demolition that causes heavy noise will be scheduled between 6am and 11am. We will inform about the progress of the maintenance separately.

The maintenance will affect library use on following ways:

  • Every hall at the library can be entered
  • Library’s lockers on the 3rd floors stair landings will be temporarily moved to the halls 3A and 3B.

On Friday 7 October 2022, the Student and Learning Services’ customer service desk and phone service close already at 2 pm (14:00).
