Annual registration for students who are already enrolled at the university (i.e. are in their second, third, etc., year of studies) starts on 1 June 2024 and ends on 15 September 2024. All bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral students must register annually as being present or absent at the university within the registration period. Sykettä Sport Services’ summer group exercise classes are held in May and June from 20 May to 15 June 2024, and in August from 19 to 31 August.
Classes take place both in the Studentia sports hall and outdoors with stair workouts. You can participate in the classes with the 2023–2024 academic year and spring 2024 group fitness and ball sports stickers, which are valid until 31 August 2024. You can sign up for the classes as usual via the sports calendar on the website and the Sykettä mobile app.
This summer, there are also ball sport shifts and freely bookable shifts available at Studentia, and the gyms are open throughout the summer. Read more about the summer season services on our website.
Now is a good time to check whether you need to apply for an extension to your study right.
If your study right at the University of Eastern Finland is about to expire on 31 July 2024 and you wish to continue your studies, you have to apply for an extension by 31 May 2024. You will not receive a separate email reminder.
You can check your study right duration in Peppi: peppi.uef.fi. In the top right corner in Peppi, you can see your name. Bring the mouse to your name and click on My profile in the drop-down menu that opens. On the Study right information tab, you can see when your study right is about to end. If you have more than one study right, make sure to check the study right duration of all your study rights.

FSHS will serve students in higher education institutions throughout the summer.
FSHS’s digital and remote services will operate on all weekdays and there are several service units in service areas that are open throughout the summer.
If necessary, student will be directed from the assessment of the need for treatment to either a remote appointment or to a local appointment to another open service unit.
