Would you be interested in communal housing? We are looking for University of Eastern Finland students to participate in a communal housing experiment that will take place in Kuopas’ apartments in Kuopio in the autumn semester 2021.
We offer you:
- A travel card valid on Kuopio City buses and/or the right to use a city bike during the tutoring period.
- A wonderful chance to experience a new way living in communal housing.
- An opportunity to help new international students.
- A YUFE Civic Star to be included in your Diploma Supplement.
Your duties in communal housing will include:
- Helping a new international student in getting settled in Finland, especially when it comes to housing-related matters (such as grocery shopping, visiting city offices, sorting of waste, etc.).
- Giving advice in case of any possible problems.
- It is estimated that the duties will take up no more than 20 hours/month.
The experiment is part of the activities of YUFE (Young Universities for the Future of Europe); more specifically the YUFE in our Cities activities, which are coordinated by the University of Eastern Finland. YUFE in our Cities aims to increase cooperation between universities and their home cities/regions.
