Recently, we introduced you our Library Bot Uffe. It was, and still is, a rookie when it comes to the library know-how. However, the most common questions that we encounter can already be resolved around the clock with the help of Uffe.

Up to this date, the library bot has offered only limited functionality for our English-speaking customers. We are now happy to announce that Library Bot Uffe speaks English! Both language versions – Finnish and English – have the same content to serve our customers equally.

We warmly encourage you to continue using Uffe and give us feedback. This will help us to make it more useful for you.

International Week in January!

International Mobility Services is hosting an International Week in January, from Monday to Thursday 23-26 January. During the week, there will be info sessions about student exchange on Zoom and in-person info desks on both campuses. Most of the Zoom info sessions will be in Finnish, but there will also be a session in English, and English-speaking students are also encouraged to join the Finnish sessions if they have questions about student exchange! You can find the week’s preliminary programme on Kamu’s Study Abroad section, on the page study abroad events. The programme will be updated with Zoom links and locations closer to the event. If you have any questions about student exchange, please do not hesitate to contact us at international@uef.fi.

Purchasing printing balance

Due to the renewal of UEF’s printing service contract, the printing balance will be free of charge for basic, Master’s Degree and exchange students for some time in the beginning of 2023. The online store for the printing balance is no longer functional and the printing balance cannot be purchased at Oppari’s service counters either. We will inform you about the payment of the print balance and the opening of the online store as soon as possible. For the sake of sustainable development, we hope that everyone prints thoughtfully and only for real needs.
