Apply for Exchange by 15 Sept!

The September application period is still open until Monday 15 Sept, 3:00 (Finnish time). Read the instructions and information about available options in Kamu’s calls for applications page: https://kamu.uef.fi/en/tietopankki/applying-and-practical-arrangements/calls-for-applications/.

NB! It is possible to apply for only spring semester 2026. The exact dates for the exchange are determined by the host university’s academic calendar.

Exchanges for AY 2026/2027 are not currently available and applications for AY 2026/27 exchanges are not currently accepted. More information about upcoming application periods is available in Kamu’s Study Abroad section.

Kamu website will be improved – the user survey open until 21 September 2025

How would you improve the Kamu website? How would the site better serve you as a student?

UEF will implement, in collaboration with Exove, a planning and conceptualization project for the development of Kamu this autumn. To improve Kamu, we need also your feedback and ideas.

Please, respond to the survey in the UEF Students community in Viva Engage.

The survey will be open until 21 September 2025. It is anonymous and takes about 10 minutes to complete.

Three €50 gift cards to the UEF webshop will be raffled off among those who respond to the survey. If you wish to take part in the raffle, please provide your contact information: we will only use it for the raffle.

Still time to apply for exchange for Spring 2026!

The September calls for applications for outgoing student exchange in the spring semester 2026 is still open!

The application period is open until Monday 15 Sept, 3:00 PM. More information about available options can be found in Kamu’s calls for applications for outgoing student exchange page. For example, students may apply for YUFE Alliance exchanges via OpenYUFE or YUFE Minor.

Applications are submitted in the SoleMOVE system. More information about studying abroad and how to apply is also available from International Mobility Services at [email protected].

September exchange application period!

There is still time to apply for student exchange for the spring semester 2026 in September! The application period is open 1-15 Sept, the application period closes on 15 Sept at 3:00 PM (Finnish time).

Available in this application period are YUFE Alliance exchanges (Open YUFE and YUFE Minor exchanges), Erasmus+ host universities and bilateral host universities.

Student and Learning Services’ Customer Service is open from 18 August to 15 September with extended open hours every weekday Mon-Fri from 10 am to 3 pm in person and over the phone (tel. +358 29 445 8900).

The Student and Learning Services’ customer service desk offers general study counselling, information on term registration and study rights and maintains the student register. Changes to personal information are done at the Student and Learning Services’ customer service. The customer services desk also provides study certificates and transcripts of records.

Are you wondering about your future? Where will I find work? How will I be convincing in the job interview? What can I do with my degree? What are my strengths? Am I in the right field? What should I study as a minor subject? What rights and obligations do I have as an employee?

Students pondering about their future directions or seeking traineeships and employment are troubled by many questions. Nevertheless, don’t worry! Practical guidance, knowledge and support is there for you on the career planning and job seeking courses offered by UEF Career Services.

Sign up for the career planning and job seeking courses in the autumn starts 11.8.2025. The first courses begin on 15th September 2025. Find the course details in Peppi!

In the Peppi Study Guide you will find further information about the courses. The courses for the academic year 2025–2026 include the following courses in English and Finnish:

  • Career planning – self-study course, 2 ECTS
  • Career portfolio building – practical exercises, 1 ECTS
  • Job seeking – self-study course, 1 ECTS
  • Job seeking – practical exercises, 1 ECTS
  • Basics of Finnish working life – self-study course, 1 ECTS (only in English)

The courses offered by the UEF Career Services are meant for all students to support and help them during studies and when the move towards working life becomes timely. The courses offer you knowledge, skills, courage and attitude for the future working life. In these courses, you can also clarify your thoughts about your future and career possibilities.

We have received positive feedback about the studies from students. Participants in the career planning self-study course have stated:

  • ”I think the course was good in stirring up thoughts and it helped me analyze my own, sometimes scattered, thoughts about my future career. Although I already had a lot of knowledge about the working life, this course was a good add-on in creating my own career plan.”
  • ”Thanks to the career plan I composed during the course, I now feel more confident about my studies. The course clarified my career aims and I also got a clear picture of what working life skills I already possess and what I should develop further.”

The job-seeking self-study course furnished students with hands-on tools to be used in practice:

  • ”I managed to find new job seeking methods that I can use in the job seeking process. The different channels where jobs can be found were especially useful.”

The basics of Finnish working life self-study course introduces the general outlook of the Finnish working environment with its regulations and habits:

  • “I think this course was good especially for foreign students who would like to find a job from Finland.”
